We believe that patients can learn a lot from other patients. While most of this site is focused on articles written and peer reviewed by health professionals, this forum provides a different service—allowing patients to share their insights and experience with thousands of others who are experiencing similar back conditions and problems.
Send us a response to the current Back-to-Back question (see below). We'll collect patient responses to the question and then post them here within the next month.* Check back to this section regularly for new questions and to read patient responses!
If you have comments that are not specifically related to the Back-to-Back question, please use our Spine Forum Message Boards to communicate with other patients about numerous back pain topics.
Back-to-Back question:
Share your tips and advice for getting restful sleep despite your back pain.
What bedtime rituals have helped you get to sleep (i.e. a warm drink, heat therapy before bed, an evening stretching routine)?
What position have you found most comfortable to sleep in?
Have you used sleep medications and what advice do you have for others considering medication?
Are there any devices, such as a heat wrap or leg pillow, that you have found helpful in relieving pain while sleeping?
If back pain is preventing you from getting enough sleep, what adjustments have you made to your daytime schedule to compensate?
Coming soon - Check back regularly for new back pain questions and more patient responses, then send us your advice!
